Dies sollte sich zum 1. April 1983 \u00e4ndern. Aus diesem Anlass gaben die Gelsenkirchener Briefmarkenfreunde 1967 e. V. die \u201ePoststempelkladde Gelsenkirchen \u2013 Post\u00e4mter und Poststellen im Bereich des Hauptpostamtes 4650 Gelsenkirchen\u201c heraus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>In seinem Vorwort fasste der  damalige Veriensvorsitzende Johannes Winkelmann auf Seite 2 der Poststempelkladde Gelsenkirchen die Hintergr\u00fcnde f\u00fcr die Umstellung auf die Postleitzahl 4650 zusammen:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8222;Die Gro\u00dfstadt Gelsenkirchen, entstanden im Jahre 1928 aus dem Zusammenschluss der St\u00e4dte Gelsenkirchen, Buer und der Landgemeinde Horst\/ Emscher, war bis zum 31. 03. 1983 die einzige Stadt Deutschlands mit 2 Postleitzahlen, und zwar:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4650 f\u00fcr den Bereich Gelsenkirchen und Horst<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4660 f\u00fcr den Bereich Buer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Der Neubau des Postgeb\u00e4udes auf dem ehemaligen Gel\u00e4nde der Zeche Hibernia in Gelsenkirchen erm\u00f6glichte die verwaltungsm\u00e4\u00dfige Zusammenlegung der 2 bisher selbst\u00e4ndigen Postanstalten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mit Wirkung vom 1. April 1983 erhielten alle Post\u00e4mter und Poststellen Gelsenkirchens die Postleitzahl 4650. Diese Vereinheitlichung &#8211; 55 Jahre nach der kommunalen Zusammenlegung &#8211; bedingte eine neue Nummerierung, die auf den folgenden Seiten durch Tagesstempel dokumentiert wird.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>F\u00fcr die Unterst\u00fctzung durch die Dienststellen der Post bei der Erstellung dieser Dokumentation sei an dieser Stelle ausdr\u00fccklich gedankt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gelsenkirchener Briefmarkenfreunde 1967 e.
